Mia is the "grandaughter" of Troy, the dog who died to save our son's life......having had her arrive unexpectedly before Christmas is almost like we have been given a little bit of him back into our lives.Our large family of all nature are very close, but we recently had an experience which was both frightening but also hilarious, once we'd ensured neither Ben nor Mia were seriously injured. Troy's grand-daughter, Mia, was annoyed that she had been put inside while we were out the front, saying goodbye to some friends. She was so unhappy that she decided to make her own way out. As Ben lay on the front lawn, enjoying the sun, my friend suddenly shouted out as she pointed to Ben's upstairs bedroom window. I turned around just in time to see Mia leap out through the window, but she landed full force on Ben's stomach, totally uninjured. Ben, on the oher hand had substantial bruising to his ribcage & ended up missing school for 2 weeks. As I said, once we'd established that both Ben & Mia were not seriously injured, we laughed about it for quite a while.
