Mr Black came into our lives with his brother Humphrey (now known as Trumpet) 10 years ago. Born to a stray in the garden of a colleague, I will never forget the day I went to collect the pair of them. They were so tiny, I could hold one in each hand. THe whole car journey which lasted about an hour, Trumpet slept... Mr Black stayed alert, always checking, looking around to see what was going on. A nervous little fellow; this was to be his personality throughout his life. Scared of strangersbut in the arms of people he trusted, a soft ball of cuddles and purring. Many an evening we spent infront of the tv together with Mr Black stretched out on my knees, all four paws in the air. So trusting and warm... Taken from us last July by a nasty disease... we fought so hard to beat but in the end it beat him. We miss you Mr Black and think of you daily.. You will always be part of our lives.
