Qui suis-je ?

Cheni, a sensitive galga who is finally waiting to feel safe

Its identity

Cheni is a beautiful galga born on November 3, 2018. It weighs about 25 kg and measures 60 cm at the withers and is 65 cm long. She is vaccinated and ready to join a family that will provide her with much-needed stability.

Its history

Cheni arrived at the shelter accompanied by her daughter, Chelo, as well as another galga, Chapu. There is every reason to believe that they belong to the same family.

She grew up on a rural estate. Her previous landlord could no longer take care of her properly and only came to see her two or three times a week. This life, made up of solitude and little contact with humans, has deeply marked Cheni.

When she arrived at the shelter, she was very fearful. Today, she is slowly progressing, but her path to full confidence still takes time.

His character

Cheni is an extremely sweet and sensitive dog. Behind her shyness hides a delicate soul who is just waiting to discover the happiness of a family life.

She doesn't show any aggressiveness. She observes, takes her time and moves at her own pace. Every small victory is a proof of his courage.

With patience, gentleness and a reassuring environment, Cheni will continue to flourish and will gradually reveal all the affection she has within her.

His agreements

Cheni gets along very well with the other dogs, whose presence reassures her enormously.

It is compatible with respectful and calm children.

Its compatibility with cats has not yet been tested.

His daily life

Cheni continues to learn about life with humans every day. Above all, she needs a calm environment, stable landmarks and patient people who will respect her pace.

A peaceful house, ideally with a secure garden, as well as the possible presence of a dog that is comfortable in its paws could help him gain even more confidence.

The ideal family

Cheni is looking for a gentle, patient and caring family, aware that the trust of a dog who has had a difficult past is built day after day.

It will suit adopters willing to give it time to evolve without ever rushing it. In return, they will see a unique relationship born based on trust, respect and immense attachment.

After years without a real home, Cheni finally deserves to know the security, tenderness and love of a family that will accompany her to the end of her path.

✔️Suitable with both male and female dogs

✔️Walking on a leash/ car

✔️suitable with children

❓ A test can be done by the shelter if we receive an adoption request

She will be placed sterilized, vaccinated, identified and dewormed. Tests for Mediterranean diseases are negative but the test for leishmaniasis will be redone in the event of an adoption request and will then have to be redone once a year, as the disease is endemic in Spain and can take several years to be detectable.
